Hourly wage: $20/hr + commission

Job Summary

We are opening our first permanent in-store experience at the Hudson’s Bay on Queen Street. We need a Stylist (customer service) associate to help bring our downtown location to life. Our in-store Stylists are essential to building our VIP-level customer-experience and welcoming moms into our community – a physical space where they can bond over motherhood, fitness & fashion.

In-store Stylists are responsible for engaging and connecting with our moms-to-be and new moms (guests) in a way that’s friendly, non-judgemental and encouraging of whatever stage they find their bodies in. They are also responsible for educating and demonstrating the versality of the AFTER9 pieces from pregnancy to postpartum, and how they can be worn from gym-side to dinner-side.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Job 

Guest (i.e., Customer) Experience

Interact with guests to ensure a great guest experience in a manner that values guests’ time. 

Assess guests’ needs to provide customized, effective purchase and return solutions and support.  

Educate guests on the bump-to-baby guarantee to help give guests confidence in purchasing clothing knowing their bodies are changing.  

Move dynamically on the floor and in the Eaton Centre to promote AFTER9 at the Hudson’s Bay

Receive guest feedback and partner with store leadership to take appropriate action and give guests an elevated experience.

 

Working with Others

Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive and engaging experience for all team members and guests.

Establish supportive and productive relationships with all Hudson’s Bay department members

Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal guest experience and support store operations.

 

Operations 

Perform product presentation tasks (e.g., put items back in place, restock or add depleted items to the floor from inventory, destock or relocate items) according to company standards. 

Understand and adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations of the Husdon’s Bay

Job Requirements

Eligibility

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must have the ability to travel to assigned store with own transportation methods

 

Availability

Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

 

Other Willingness Requirements

Willing to work in an environment with bright lights and music

Willing to move through a store for most of a shift to help guests and accomplish work

Willing to move boxes weighing up to 20 lbs (10 kg)

Willing to work as part of a team and also complete some work independently

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
